After a 13-year hiatus, Planetarium & Observatorium Jakartalocated inside the Taman Ismail Marzuki (TIM) complex in Cikini, Central Jakarta, has officially reopened.
The revamped facility features an upgraded Teater Bintang with cutting-edge digital visualization systems based on the latest scientific data, an AI Virtual Host to interact with visitors, and vastly improved ergonomic seating.

Students/Pelajar: FREE
General Public/Umum: Rp 10.000 per person
How to Buy:
Online (Highly Recommended): Tickets are released periodically on Loket.com. Due to extreme demand ("ticket war"), spots frequently sell out weeks in advance.
On-The-Spot (OTS): Available directly at the venue counter for early birds. Tickets are limited per session (e.g., about 70 for the public and 20 for students). Arriving before 7:00 AM is recommended to secure a spot.
Show Schedules & Operational Hours
The Planetarium is open Tuesday through Sunday (Closed on Mondays and National Holidays). Shows last approximately 30 to 45 minutes:
Show 1: 10:00 AM – 10:45 AM
Show 2: 11:45 AM – 12:30 PM (or 1:00 PM depending on the weekday)
Show 3: 1:30 PM – 2:15 PM (or 3:30 PM depending on the weekday)
Show 4: 3:15 PM – 4:00 PM (or 6:30 PM evening slots on specific days)
Note: Weekday morning sessions (Tuesday–Thursday) are occasionally prioritized for pre-booked school groups. Always verify the weekly schedule updates on their official Instagram @tim.cikini before traveling.
Getting There
The complex is highly accessible via public transportation:
By Train (KRL): Commuter line to Stasiun Cikini, followed by a short walk or ride.
By Bus: TransJakarta routes that stop directly at the Halte TIM bus stop.
