They say, once upon a time, when the wind blew carrying the scent of wet earth and memories of the past, there stood a tree — tall, firm, and unyielding. It let the wind — sometimes drifting softly like the breath of a weary wanderer, other times raging like the fury of a restless spirit — caress its branches and twigs, stripping away its leaves, one by one.No one saw that beneath the surface, the Roots had driven themselves so deep into the earth. Gripping so fiercely that even the wildest storm would feel like nothing more than a cold embrace to the Tree.We are that tree. When the time comes and the storm arrives, let our leaves and little branches fall, drifting into dust in the air— in a moment of stillness, we savor the firm grip of the Roots that hold us upright.Gugur Gunung Vol.5: Akar Memeluk Angin22 November 2026, Teater Besar Jakarta

Gugur Gunung Vol.5: Akar Memeluk Angin is a cultural arts performance event produced by the communityOmah Wulangreh together with legendary artistSawung Jabo. This show is scheduled to take place onSunday, 22 November 2026 atTeater Besar Jakarta, located in the Taman Ismail Marzuki (TIM) area.

The central narrative of this fifth volume carries a profound philosophy of resilience, much like a tree. When life's storms come crashing in, leaves and small branches may fall, yet the roots that grip deep into the earth will keep the tree standing tall. The harmonious bond and spiritual steadfastness of humanity are beautifully illustrated through the phrase"Akar Memeluk Angin". This performance also marks a celebration of Sawung Jabo's artistic dedication as he enters his 75th year.
